Nursing Faculty Statistician/Biostatistician | The University of North Carolina at Greensboro - Military Veterans

The successful candidate will provide expert consultation in research design, analysis, and grant writing, with the expectation of teaching statistics and measurement courses and content on advanced research methods within the School of Nursings programs, particularly the PhD program. Responsibilities include offering consultation for student projects and dissertations. Candidates should have a proven record of publications, grant activity, and interdisciplinary research collaborations, with teaching experience at the graduate level strongly desired.

We seek an organized and detail-oriented individual with strong oral, written, and visual communication skills who thrives in a team-based, time-sensitive environment. The ideal candidate will take a collaborative, consultative approach to their work, fostering professional relationships across the School of Nursing and the broader research network at UNCG .

This faculty position is housed in the School of Nursing Research Office, which is dedicated to supporting faculty and students in their research endeavors. The office promotes a vibrant research environment and provides comprehensive support services, including consultation, grant writing assistance, data analysis, and dissemination, enabling researchers to achieve excellence and make significant contributions to healthcare.

A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Nursing or closely related fields, particularly for providing advanced consultation and teaching in doctoral programs.

Proven knowledge of advanced statistical methodologies and innovative analytical approaches, particularly as they apply to healthcare and nursing research.

Preferred Qualifications

A strong track record of collaborative research, grant activity, and a history of interdisciplinary work to complement academic qualifications.

Statistical software experience, particularly SPSS .

Experience teaching at the graduate level.
