The Blueprint (Role Profile)
Reporting to the Director, Global Demand Planning, the Senior Manager, Demand Planning will develop and maintain the demand plan for large retail accounts as assigned. This high-visibility role will work closely with colleagues in the commercial and supply chain teams to manage the demand plan across several business units. This position will lead a team including Key Account Analysts and Demand Planner.
The Build (Responsibilities)
- Lead a Retail Demand Planning and Analytics team responsible for developing Key Account purchase forecasts across multiple business segments.
- Lead a monthly Demand Review and facilitate the planning process across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply and Finance. Identify opportunities and risks to sales plan and align financial estimates with sku-level forecasts that drive production plans.
- Utilize the Kinaxis retail planning and statistical modeling tools to develop SKU forecasts by sales channel. Manage all customer data (POS, Inventory) within the Kinaxis forecasting system on a weekly basis.
- Manage promotions, new products, and transitions forecasts through collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment.
- Manage a collaborative partnership with Customer Supply Chain teams and facilitate customized weekly reviews of POS, inventory, and forecast to drive alignment.
- Manage the daily review of orders and exceptions utilizing SAP and Tableau consumption reporting.
- Key metrics include forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in a business related discipline required
- 8+ years of demand planning experience in a consumer products environment
- Customer collaboration development, process design, and implementation leadership experience
- Analytical experience in forecast accuracy, financial reconciliation, and managing large volumes of data to create and present concise high-level analyses
- Demand Planning software experience (ex. DSX, Kinaxis, or other advanced supply chain planning software). Kinaxis experience preferred.
- SAP/BW/Tableau experience in modules related to Demand and Supply management
- Ability to travel once per quarter (domestic only)
