Job Title: Supervisor - Data Technicians

Location: Lancaster, NY; Hornell, NY; Elmira, NY; Auburn, NY; Geneva, NY; Rochester, NY.

Work type: Office

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $94,490 - $118,113.

Job Summary

Directs and supervises employees responsible for providing support to Electric Operations in needed activities that may involve billing, permits, dispatching, ordering supplies, or checking data accuracy. Monitors regulatory requirements, ensures proactive outreach to customers and works closely with Process Stewards.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for supervision of Data Technicians and Analyst as

well as monitoring and coordinating all resources. Reviews, monitors and

balances data technician/ analyst workload. Knowledge of task based

work order routing. Review completed work orders for feedback and work

order accuracy.(50%)

2. Responsible for technical support of pre-requisites of all

electric distribution work orders. This includes permits (town, state

and county), purchase requisites and orders, customer payments. Ensures

work is completed in accordance with internal and industry standards

following approved policies, procedures, safety rules, and budgets in a

manner that promotes customer satisfaction. Resolves customer

complaints. (15%)

3. Knowledge of company construction standards, rates, field

operating procedures, safety instructions, union contract, and

accounting manuals. Able to read and interpret electric construction

sketches. Familiar with contractor bid and purchase requisition process. (15%)

4. Appraise the work of data technicians/ analysts satisfying requirements prior to work order release. Develops employees to enhance professional values and effective performance. Identify and arrange for necessary training. (10%)

5. Assist operations with storm restoration efforts. (10%)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management / Administration with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's Degree in Business Management / Administration or related technology fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 10 years of field planning or analyst/clerk experience.
  • Must be able to travel to different divisions where the position's reports are based within NY.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP experience.
  • Leadership / Management experience preferred.
