Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, has a great opportunity for an Industrial Security Specialist 2 in our Hanover, MD location. This pivotal role is responsible for safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with national security protocols. Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

• Assist in implementing aspects of the NISP for HII Mission Technologies
• Help maintain compliance with DoD 5220.22-M (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual)
• Stay informed about changes in security regulations
• Assist with personnel security actions, including: a. Coordinating foreign travel briefings and debriefings b. Helping initiate clearance investigations for employees c. Processing security forms for Common Access Cards (CACs) and government system access
• Review personnel security paperwork for accuracy and completeness
• Submit security paperwork via electronic applications (eAPP) under supervision
• Process outgoing visit requests to customers for employee access
• Assist in maintaining visitor control functions
• Help verify Visit Authorization Requests (VARs)
• Assist in preparing and maintaining DD Form 254 for classified contracting
• Help track and monitor subcontractor DD254 forms
• Help maintain the Access Commander database
• Learn and use other security tools and databases as required
• Develop understanding of Title 32 CFR Part 117 and SEAD 3 reporting requirements
• Assist in providing guidance on security breach reporting
• Support programs for the protection of classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and proprietary information
• Assist in conducting security trainings and briefings for employees
• Help prepare training materials
• Assist in processing personnel security clearances
• Help manage visit requests through DISS and NBIS
• Help prepare reports for management
• Assist in maintaining security records in compliance with company procedures
• Provide support for Security Vulnerability Assessments under supervision

Requirements: I have already done that or have it!

• 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1-year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5-years relevant experience
• US Citizenship and Secret Security Clearance and the ability to be upgraded to a TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience working with DISS, NISS and NBIS
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Eagerness to learn and stay updated with industry advancements.
• Familiarity with NISPOM and basic security regulations
• Basic proficiency in security management software and databases
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in the field of industrial security

Physical Requirements

Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate business machines. Minimal lifting may be required.
