Senior Custodian - Hood Cleaner (CUSTODIAN SR) Job Summary Perform a full range of advanced cleaning tasks, primarily with maintaining hood exhaust vents and floor degreasing, individually or as part of a group, on a daily basis within residential and retail dining facilities. Remove, clean, scrub, and reinstall hood baffles, drip pans, filters, and floors for and around each hood vent. Complete general custodial duties including disinfecting/cleaning restrooms, vacuuming carpets, upholstered furniture, bedding and other designated materials. Experience performing advanced custodial work Experience using and knowledge of basic materials and equipment used in custodial work. (i.e., carpet cleaners, vacuums and floor polishers). Knowledge of cleaning solvents, degreasers, disinfectants, floor finishes, and other related chemicals used in custodial work. Strong Customer Service and Communication skills along with the ability to complete tasks while customers are present with safety being a high priority. Being able to work safely in physically challenges spaces and be able to read and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) on all Chemicals used in the profession and comply with all safety rules. Skills to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Dining custodial duties, primarily with hood cleaning. Skills to organize and prioritize workload to complete work effectively. Knowledge of standard safety precautions and rules used in custodial work. Basic customer service skills to interact with a diverse population.
