Job DescriptionThis position exists to manage the office of the President and coordinate relationships with all other administrative and academic offices within the college and the external community; to provide administrative services to the president; to coordinate the activities of various college governance committees, to represent the President in a variety of settings, to conduct research and prepare briefing documents for the President, and to maintain, update, and publish policies and regulations established by Minnesota State and the college.Generate and prioritize communication efforts to ensure relationships are established and maintained on behalf of the PresidentLead, manage, and direct multiple projects from initiation to completion to meet and exceed strategic outcomes/goals.Provide overall confidential office management support to the College President to ensure efficient operation of departments and college as a whole.Other duties as assigned ? related to President and Northland AdministrationMinimum QualificationsKnowledge of:Two-year degree in related field and five years of office support experience -or- equivalent combination of experience.Administrative support skills to efficiently organize projects and tasks; takes ownership to achieve positive resultsEnglish sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and write, prepare, and edit reports, letters and presentations, using correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and sentence constructionSkills in:Exceptional organizational and calendaring skills, detailed-oriented individual to work in a dynamic workgroup, ability to follow through on tasks until completion, and ability to manage several projectsExcellent communications skills and the ability to prioritize, organize, and complete work assignments efficiently and effectivelyPossess well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills to professionally address, with poise and diplomacy, sensitive and confidential issues that might arise on a daily basis due to frequent contact with students, parents, faculty, staff, trustees, alumni, community members and other friends of the CollegeComputer skills in various software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat sufficient enough to create and manipulate letters and data with the ability to navigate the webAbility to:Maintain strict confidentiality in all mattersPerform research and prepare of report and supporting materialsIndependently plan and execute projects from start to finishMulti-task and work under pressure to prioritize multitude of tasks with frequent interruptions and problem-solving skills to be applied to administrative work at an exceptionally proficient levelWork independently as a member of a team with minimal supervision, and to meet deadlines/handle shifting prioritiesFunction as part of a team.
