Maintenance Tech I Position Summary: The Maintenance Tech I performs basic upkeep, minor repairs and maintenance of all facilities and equipment. Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Unclog toilets, sinks and tubs Change light bulbs Repair windows, screens and window coverings Maintain and repair ceiling tile and framework Repair flooring, and repair and replace drywall and paint area Repair furniture; move furniture Investigate appliance problems Rotate dumpsters, empty trash containers and make sure grounds of free of trash & debris. Assist other craftsmen as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor Serve on summer-project teams as assigned Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed. Assist Grounds with shoveling snow in emergency situations. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility and requirements of the job We offer flexible work hours and a generous benefits package for full-time employees.
