Are you passionate about supporting families and advocating for children with mental, emotional, or developmental challenges? We are seeking a Family Partner to provide peer-to-peer support, guidance, and resources to parents and caregivers navigating these challenges.

About the Role:
As a Family Partner, you will use your personal experience as a caregiver of a child with behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs to mentor, support, and empower other families. This role focuses on advocacy, education, and connecting families with resources to help them succeed at home, in school, and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide one-on-one mentoring and emotional support to caregivers.
-Help families navigate mental health, education, and social service systems.
-Advocate for families and teach them how to advocate for their child’s needs.
-Connect caregivers to community resources for mental health, education, housing, and more.
-Facilitate support groups, training sessions, and educational workshops.
-Collaborate with local agencies to improve access to services.
-Maintain accurate documentation and follow confidentiality regulations.
-Travel required; mileage reimbursement provided.

Who We’re Looking For:
-Personal experience raising or caring for a child with mental, behavioral, or developmental challenges.
-2-3 years of relevant experience (education, daycare, healthcare, advocacy, or family support roles).
-Strong knowledge of local resources and support systems.
-Compassionate, patient, and passionate about helping families succeed.
-Excellent communication, problem-solving, and advocacy skills.
-Family Peer Specialist Certification (state or national) is a plus or willingness to obtain.
-Valid NC driver’s license and reliable transportation.
