Responsible for supporting business needs by leading/coordinating project builds, developing solutions, and establishing clear documentationRecommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development, emerging new technologies and off-the-shelf alternativesLeads development and oversees testing while managing changes for supported applications including the managing and distribution of team assignmentsTranslate simple and complex user stories into functional and actionable software. Create visual representations of logical business processesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and fix production problems as they arise by brainstorming the best possible solution, while understanding the impact of system downtime and SLAsCollaborate with teams that are geographically dispersed among different locations and time zonesWhat you bringA strong background in developing and delivering solutionsBS in Computer Science or equivalent certifications8+ years in Application Development6+ years of experience programming in Java/J2EE, and web development frameworks (Angular, React), Kubernetes, Spring boot, and experience in Oracle DB6+ years of experience in data technologies/design4+ years of experience in developing, supporting, and consuming RESTful services and microservicesExperience with data visualization & analytics toolsGood understanding of Software Engineering principlesFlexibility and proven ability to deliver with constantly changing prioritiesContinuous process improvement mindsetUnderstanding of health care or insurance businesses, products, services, and operationsKnowledge of OWASP top 10Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD technologiesExperience with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS)Employee Benefits & Well-BeingGenworth employees make a difference in peoples lives every day. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 10% of your base compensation. The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
