The Physician Recruiter & Retention Specialist will be responsible for managing physician recruitments across the School of Medicine, Affiliate Network, and the UCR Health Medical Group. The successful candidate for this position develops and implements strategic recruitment programs, directs the full-cycle recruitment process, and supports UCR's mission of fostering a diverse, world-class workforce. This position serves as the key liaison with UCR SOM and UCR Health leadership and external partners to ensure the successful recruitment of high-caliber, diverse physician candidates. The role requires an advanced understanding of physician recruitment practices, workforce planning, and regulatory compliance within a healthcare and/or academic medical center setting. The Physician Recruitment & Retention Specialist will ensure effective and compliant recruitment practices while fostering a collaborative work environment aligned with UCR' SOM and UCR Health's DEI objectives. The full salary range for the Physician Recruiter and Retention Specialist is $90,400 - $169,000 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $130,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Requirements: Requirements Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience Requirements 6 - 10 years of related experience. Required 6 years of experience in healthcare recruitment, specifically recruiting physicians Required Demonstrated experience incorporating DEI practices into recruitment programs Preferred Experience working in strategic partnerships with senior leadership in an academic or healthcare setting. Preferred Minimum Requirements Demonstrated advanced knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; advanced knowledge of functional area and understands how work impacts other areas in Human Resources and the organization. Advanced knowledge of the recruitment, screening, interviewing and referral processes. Advanced knowledge of business units and related employment plans and objectives. Demonstrated abilities associated with problem identification; reasoning; ability to work with business units in the development of ideas and strategies to address short- and long-term employment issues. Advanced knowledge of employment law. Skills associated with conducting needs assessment, providing input on candidate selection, problem solving, effective communication and interpersonal skills. Consults with other areas of HR around the interaction of employment matters and their relationship with other HR functions. Demonstrated skills associated with candidate identification and selection of senior level and more unique employment assignments. Highly skilled in public speaking with ability to speak effectively and articulately in front of a large audience. Advanced knowledge of sourcing strategies, recruitment advertising, applicant assessment, and full-cycle recruitment processes. Proficiency in recruitment and HR information systems & Applicant Tracking Systems. Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple high-level recruitments simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build consensus.
