Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a Technical Writer to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional SecurityStack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are .
accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Writes, edits, proofreads, and/or provides writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents/deliverables or sections of documents/deliverables, such as technical or user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), operational specifications, technical data packages, training materials, and programmatic deliverables.
- Gathers information through research, statistical reports, and interviews with technical staff.
- Translates complex data into user-friendly text for print and electronic publications.
- Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts.
- Conducts quality review of materials.
- Coordinates with stakeholders or other experts to develop draft and final copies of documentation while ensuring documents meet editorial and Government specifications and adhering to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
- Follows cataloging systems and maintains records, files, electronic media, and archiving of information for documents and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 12-15 years of related experience or a Masters and 10-13 years of related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience working within the Agile framework.
- US CItizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working within Army’s IT infrastructure.
- Secret security clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
