As a Director of Engineering here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role
in leading and managing the engineering function within the company. You will
be responsible for providing strategic direction, technical leadership, and
operational oversight to the Torrance
Mechanical Test team. You will also be responsible for driving test strategies across the
Mechanical Test organization and leading business initiatives and
projects. The Director of Engineering will collaborate with cross-functional
teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, ensure product quality, and achieve
business objectives.
You will report directly to our Senior Director for Mechanical Test and
you will work out of our Torrance, California location on a on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on the company's ability to drive
innovation, deliver high-quality products, and achieve business objectives.
Your strategic leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence
will contribute to the company's success, reputation, and growth in the
industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic direction and leadership to
the Torrance Mechanical Test team
Directly manage Torrance Mechanical Test
engineering team
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery
of engineering projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and
stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives
Ensure adherence to engineering best
practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Manage and optimize engineering resources,
budgets, and timelines
Identify and implement process improvements to
enhance efficiency and productivity
Lead and develop a high-performing engineering
team
Lead strategic projects and business
initiatives for Mechanical Test organization
Lead business initiatives and projects
The annual base salary range for this position is
$216,000.00-$266,000.00 Please note that this salary information
serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when
extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities
of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key
skills, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

YOU MUST HAVEBachelor's degree in Engineering or related
field (Master's degree preferred)
8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles
Prior experience in managing cross-functional
teams and stakeholders
Strong technical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline
Proven track record of successful project execution and delivery
Excellent leadership, communication, and
interpersonal skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving
abilities
