Slee Distinguished Professor in Health Care Quality * The Vergil N. Slee Distinguished Professor in Health Care Management. The Vergil N. Slee Distinguished Professorship in Healthcare Quality Management was established in 1999 in recognition of the pioneering contributions made by Vergil N. Slee, MD, MPH , to healthcare quality measurement and healthcare outcomes research. The annual income from the endowment will be used to support two tenured full professors who have achieved distinction and national stature as scholars in the field of healthcare quality and healthcare management. Funds are provided to supplement salary and to provide scholarly and other support as needed.
