Job Overview

In this key role on the High Purity Sales Team, the Territory Manager is a sales professional responsbile for managing and growing sales within a designated geographic area by building customer realtionships, identifying new business opportunties, executing sales strategies and meting sales targets. handles product strategy, technical product management and sales. The BPM is the face of HPNE to the customer. This position must understand and then represent the client and the product requirements. The Territory Manager will work with the engineering, client services, materials, quality and production teams to ensure the product requirements and workflow are accurate. The Territory Manager is responsible for the overall customer satisfaction and retention.

Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's growth strategy
  • Actively drive HPNE prodcut portofilo and services into the marketplace and defined region
  • Maintain customers and build long term realtionships
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ensure efficiencies with sales team and operations
  • Present products and services to prospective customers
  • Ananlyze data to find the most effective sales methods
  • Provide technical support to customers for upstream and downstream processes
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows
  • Conduct onsite demonstrations
  • Maintain updated and accurate account information
  • Maintain strong cross functional relationship with key stakeholders in other departments
  • Monitor competition within assigned region
  • Stay abreast industry developments and customer announcements
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Sales Manager for the overall benefit of the organization

Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a science or technical major area preferred
  • 5 years of sales experience required, ideally in biotech, bioprocessing or life science sector
  • Proficent in MS office
  • Familiarty with Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proven sales skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively on a cross functional team and independently

Supervision/Management Of Others:
  • The position does not manage others.

Internal and External Contacts/Relationships:
  • Engineering, C lient Services, Materials, Quality and Production team including Leadership
  • Marketing and Product Management teams including Leadership
  • Internal Getinge departments
  • External Customers and applicable partners of Getinge Sales Companies

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to respond to inquiries and communicate with others in writing and via telephone. Must be able to comfortably present in front of large audiences.
  • Must be able to decipher data from computer-generated reports, software programs, technical manuals and written correspondence.
  • Must travel as required to customer sites, training events, trade shows, etc. (routine air travel required); must be able to operate an automobile (valid driver's license required) and hold a valid passport for international travel.
  • Max estimated travel of 20%.

$100,000 - $120,000 (base plus at plan target incentive/commission) with a six month guarantee depending on experience and location
