Senior Benefits Analyst (Leave Administrator) - Remote - Military Veterans

Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Benefits, the Sr Benefits Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert providing leadership, oversight, and direction to the leave of absence process.
Responsibilities
- Manage the US leave of absence process, by implementing standard operating procedures, defined tracking and documentation methods, through proactive communication and identifying key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of our process.
- Subject matter expert ensuring compliance with FML, STD, LTD, PFL, Work Comp, ADA, SDI, other applicable legal, state, and federal regulations and company policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managers, employees, HR, and payroll throughout the leave management process.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees to address any inquiries or issues related to leave of absence, with a focus on ensuring a positive employee/manager experience
- Resolve complex issues using in-depth knowledge of leave and benefit summary plan descriptions and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee leave and benefit vendor relationships
- Assist in administrative activities related to our group benefit plans including health, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and COBRA
- Research, develop, and implement new benefit programs to ensure a competitive benefit offering amongst our competition
- Assist with benefit communications and training programs
- Apply continuous improvement philosophy to processes to improve administration, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies
- Assist in executing department projects as assigned
- Complete all responsiblities as outline in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. Required

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or similar field preferred
- Five or more (5+) years' experience in leave and benefits administration
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of HRIS software (UKG) or other HCM system preferred
- Demonstrated ability to implement new processes, initiatives and programs
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills matched by strong presentation skills.
- Have a strong collaborative approach enabling teams to be successful
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
- Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance
