Senior Lecturer Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering College of Engineering Position Overview The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is accepting applications for a part-time Senior Lecturer appointment to teach undergraduate and/or graduate course(s)in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Duties include but are not limited to: content and materials development and teaching. The selected candidate(s) will be expected to complete activities and provide support for developing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students, depending on chosen candidates degree certification and Departmental teaching needs. All courses are taught in person on the Universitys main campus in Columbus, Ohio. The Ohio State University will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Performance Objectives * Communicating course material effectively * Cleary articulating course goals and expectations * Conveying technical concepts clearly * Creating meaningful and illustrative assignments * Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment * Demonstrating commitment to student success. * Collaboration with fellow instructors * Education and Experience Requirements * PhD degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related area. * Three to five years of teaching and/or industry related experience in the fields or electrical, computer, or relevant engineering areas. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills. * A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio States Shared Values. Department Information Consistently ranked among the best in the nation, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) provides superior training for students and groundbreaking research at the frontier of high technology in all areas of electrical and computer engineering. ECE faculty, researchers and students engineer solutions to problems in diverse fields, from bio- to nanotechnology, from energy to mobility, from health sciences to communication, and beyond. In fiscal year 2020, this research was supported by $20.9 million in externally sponsored funding.
