Summer Financial Planning & Analysis Intern - Military Veterans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) projects. Projects may include budget variance analysis, forecasting or cost modeling.
  • Analyze business processes and financial workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in data analysis and automation initiatives to streamline financial reporting.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and improve data accuracy.
What you will learn:
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Gain experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
  • Business Process Optimization: Develop the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Data Analytics & Visualization: Strengthen skills in Excel and other analytical tools.
  • KPI Development & Performance Tracking: Learn how to create and monitor key business metrics for decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Enhance communication skills by working with finance, operations, and IT teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Understand how financial insights drive business efficiency and profitability.
Experience Desired:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Workflow Analysis Tools: Understanding tools like Microsoft Visio or similar for designing and analyzing workflow processes.
Educational requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Completion of foundational accounting courses such as Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Corporate Finance preferred.
  • Must be at Junior standing (or equivalent) and minimum overall G.P.A. of 3.0.
