If so, The Community and Economic Development team with Extension and Outreach at Iowa State University is seeking applicants for a Data Literacy Analyst! This position will be hired as a Data Analyst I. Community and Economic Development (CED) provides programs, processes, and people to play an important role in providing research-based information and resources to sustain communities into the future. As a part of the CED unit, the Indicators Program provides data and information for decision makers at the local, regional, and state levels. What Youll Do: Build capacity and support around specific subject-matter at the local, regional, and state levels to ensure communities, programming, and teams have the most up-to-date data and information Interpret ACS data/research and translate into meaningful and useable information for different end user groups and teams Assist in establishing, organizing, and facilitating networks and partnerships at the local, regional, and state level around community development data literacy Work in interdisciplinary teams with data literacy expertise to assist in addressing complex issues Assist in the development and delivery of educational programming and training around data literacy in community development issues Coordinate student-based data analysis and data literacy programming Assist in the development of new programming, evaluation, and necessary updates of programming Engage in interdisciplinary education, programming, and research Assist with the identification and verification of community development data sources to utilize in broad data reports and educational programming Work with team to support the development of high-quality reports for use in a variety of formats Utilize effective and creative approaches to visualize data to best communicate contextual meaning Develop basic data analysis to best address community development issues for long-term change Assist in curating multiple data indicators to best understand community development issues Why Join Us?
