Job Duties and Responsibilities: Float to assigned unit/s: Med surg/Tele or ICU Assists patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting and hygiene Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment Works under the directions and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit Answers phones and call lights Ensures unit is stocked with supplies Assists patient transporter as needed Other duties as assigned Shifts: Day Shift 0700-1930 or Night Shift 1930- 0700 including some weekends shifts Qualifications Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant program (strongly preferred). Current BCLS certification (required) Ability to read and communicate effectively in English (required). Basic computer knowledge (preferred). Minimum of six months to one year of related work experience (preferred).
