Director, Real Estate Ops/Admin - Military Veterans

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible to lead, develop and facilitate consistent and reliable delivery of real estate processes and procedures in support of Charter’s overall mission and goals across all of real estate. This role leads and collaborates with others on the development and delivery of comprehensive, efficient and best-in-class real estate management practices/platforms, strategies and solutions that provide optimized and effective real estate outcomes. This role serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner that leads and supports a comprehensive service delivery model in partnership with other Corporate Service team members.

 



MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the real estate experience
  • Lead, shape, develop and support the implementation of a best-in-class real estate practice that delivers an optimized real estate outcome across Charter locations following established and disciplined real estate performance management principles
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of robust real estate best practices and guidelines to ensure process adherence and audit compliance
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an effective transaction management reporting program and comprehensive KPI methodology, including service delivery provider KPI’s, benchmarking and external trends
  • Provides operational oversight and leadership with a primary focus on real estate practices, service delivery provider management, collaboration with Corporate Services teams on engagement guidelines as well as other centralized real estate management operational priorities as needed
  • Provides administrative oversight and leadership with a primary focus on preferred performance management practices (market information, deal scorecards and other assessment and performance metrics), functional tools and resources (CoStar, Sharepoint and similar), administrative protocol
  • development and stewardship (performance dashboards/tools, communication protocol, preferred practices and similar) and other real estate management administrative priorities as needed
  • Manage, lead, train and develop internal resources in a direct and matrixed reporting relationship.
  • Monitor team performance and productivity and provide frequent and relevant feedback toward improvement. Identify areas of team improvement and build, support and implement strategies to optimize the mission of the Planning and Real Estate organization
  • Regularly create and present professional level PowerPoint presentations (department updates, business reviews, how to manuals, etc.)
  • Ensure consistency of experience, processes and tools across the real estate portfolio
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

 

  • Deep understanding of real planning and transaction management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, influence and motivate others – including those in other organizations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in office business software application skills and ability to use MS Office suite to support job duties
  • Demonstrated ability to work, plan, and prioritize independently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ensure work related responsibilities are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Proven verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills inclusive of exercising good judgement
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, business partners, management and service delivery providers
  • Ability to work effectively and deliver results in a team oriented, fast paced and high demand environment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with highly sensitive information
  • Proactive approach to problem solving - delivering predictable and relevant results
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Demonstrated experience transforming team focus, performance and orientation
  • Experience in diverse and cross-function corporate real estate disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to apply real estate strategic planning and portfolio performance management principles
  • Highly skilled at developing/utilizing KPIs and performance metrics through benchmarking and best practices
  • Advocate for the team, partners and our business partners - internal and external

Required Education
Bachelor's degree or, relevant work experience of 8 years or more in cross functional commercial real estate disciplines


Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Corporate real estate or similar experience - 8+
Large and highly complex real estate portfolio experience – office and multi-use properties - 7+
Experience managing teams (directly and indirectly) – 5+

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
