As a Commercial Security Senior Service Technician, you will play a pivotal role in servicing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting access control equipment and IP-based video systems. This includes a comprehensive range of tasks such as working with electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, IP and analog cameras, intercom systems, and more. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skill, productivity, and adherence to Allied Universal Technology Services' (AUTS) core values at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel to commercial client sites using a company-issued vehicle to service, repair, and troubleshoot access control and IP-based video security systems, including locks, card readers, cameras, intercoms and related devices
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently while ensuring compliance with installation standards and applicable building codes
  • Accurately document service-related issues and maintain records for tracking and compliance
  • Utilize hand and power tools, test equipment, and CCTV testing devices safely and effectively
  • Interpret and apply electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related documents for low-voltage applications
  • Provide remote diagnostic support and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
  • High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent required
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of field experience with strong troubleshooting, programming, mechanical and electronic aptitude
  • Experience with the following: Edwards (EST), Simplex, Notifier, AMAG, Lenel, Kantec , and other factory certifications within the electronic security industry
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and IT network topology
  • Highly proactive and skilled individual, and at all times maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services (AUTS) core values
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers
  • Available for scheduled 'on-call' duties to respond to emergency service calls
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on ladder heights of up to 16'

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
  • Experience with the following: OSHA 10/30, Software House, Axis, Avigilon, Bosch, DMP
