Position Number: 001326 Department: Business Services (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clean and care for Prospector and other Dining Services buildings, offices, studios, and other State buildings. Maintain equipment, return to designated storage areas, and keep in good working order. Providing excellent customer service to the students, faculty, staff and business partners. Compile and maintain checklists and report needs to management. Assist the management in testing and making recommendations on supply and equipment purchases. Maintain various types of floor surfaces to include vacuuming, spotting, and gum removal. Follow established Business Affairs, UNC Charlotte, and State policies and procedures. Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications: Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. University Preferred Qualifications: Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: Experience with housekeeping in a food service or University setting. Previous experience/technical skills in the Building Environmental Services field including equipment preferred. Excellent customer service experience. Displays positive, professional behavior ability to act independently with minimal supervision. Strong decision making skills, attention to details and adaptability needed. Must be able to lift and move furniture.
