We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage and oversee all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in handling accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position will require someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage the accounts payable process, including receiving, reviewing, and processing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding of invoices, timely payments, and proper vendor communication and processing and tracking customer payments, including issuing invoices, applying payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable by ledgers regularly to ensure accuracy. In this role you will reconcile company bank and credit card statements monthly, investigate and resolve discrepancies in bank statements, credit card charges, and other financial transactions and maintain a record of bank deposits and withdrawals.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will oversee payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions, prepare payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and handle all payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any issues.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, prepare and post journal entries to reflect financial transactions, and ensure timely and accurate month-end close procedures, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports and provide financial analysis and commentary for management to aid in decision-making.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensure the company is compliant with all applicable tax laws and regulations, work with external auditors as needed to complete annual audits and ensure financial records are accurate and compliant. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will track and reconcile inventory levels, and the cost of goods sold and assist in preparing inventory reports for management.
In this role you will ensure all financial records and documentation are maintained accurately and organized for future reference and establish and maintain filing systems for financial records.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will assist in budgeting and forecasting processes and provide support in other accounting-related functions as needed, including financial analysis and special projects.
