Maintenance Mechanic

Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the accuracy, reliability, and system controls of PLC and PC-based automation systems. Oversee PLC upgrades, wiring modifications, and support production line modifications with the maintenance team.

Responsibilities:
Configure, program small modifications, and troubleshoot PLCs.
Provide programming and electrical support on production equipment.
Implement control systems software upgrades.

Provide instrumentation, PLC, HMI/SCADA, and hardware support to plant maintenance staff.
Perform preventive maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory.
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial instruments and electrical systems 480V.
Read and maintain P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams.
Identify and resolve chronic or long-term instrumentation asset concerns.
Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation.
Assess equipment performance data for optimal efficiency.
Provide on-site or remote assistance to ensure safe and effective work.
Drive resolution of high-impact issues with urgency and integrity.

Skills:

Expertise in PLCs, HMI, VFD, automation, and controllers.

Knowledge of electrical systems 480 volts and lockout/tagout procedures.

Familiar with OSHAS regulations.

Education & Experience

Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years of experience in PLC software/hardware troubleshooting, or

High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience in PLC software/hardware troubleshooting.

Associate degree or Engineering Technology Degree with 5+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation maintenance.
