- Estimated hourly base pay:
- Level 1: $16.85(minimum) - $21.06(midpoint) - $25.27(maximum)
- Level 2: $18.46(minimum) - $23.08(midpoint) - $27.70(maximum) Plus shift differential and overtime

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Mechanical Assembler (1st shift), we have an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you'll use your hands-on expertise to assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using specialized tools in a dynamic industrial environment. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you'll play a key part in creating high-quality products while working under moderate supervision. ** This is a 1st shift position, working Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (4x10 schedule).
What You Will Be Doing
- Assemble and/or perform preset calibration and final testing for products, ranging from small to large units, subassemblies, and complete systems.
- Perform assembly and testing tasks, with Level 1 focusing on low to moderately complex tasks and Level 2 handling moderately complex tasks across a broader range of products.
- Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and work instructions.
- Identify inconsistencies or faults in parts, equipment, or processes to prevent defective products from leaving the facility.
- Perform troubleshooting, with Level 1 addressing basic issues and Level 2 diagnosing and resolving moderately complex assembly and testing problems.
- Work with tolerances and fits, with Level 2 requiring the ability to meet close engineering and operating requirements.
- Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment as per work instructions.
- Contribute to quality and process improvements, with Level 2 expected to actively identify and implement enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineering, with Level 2 assisting in solving complex problems and improving processes.
- Complete required documentation, including Quality Assurance and Test Records, with Level 2 also completing Warranty Data Reports for warranty returns.
- Follow work instructions to become certified for tasks being performed.
- Pick and stock parts from stock rooms and place completed parts (in some locations, Stock Handlers perform this function).
What We Are Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
- Level 1: No related work experience required; mechanical aptitude is necessary.
- Level 2: 2-5 years of related work experience and applicable certifications required.
- Ability to see details clearly (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, colors, symbols, marks, labels, signs) to accomplish tasks safely and efficiently, with strong hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to process multiple types of information and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while following work orders efficiently.
- Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting or moving objects.
- Work performed in environments with moderate risk or discomfort, requiring special safety precautions such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
- May be required to pass Near Vision and/or Color Vision examinations.
