As a key member of our HR function, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize our people strategies. You will work closely with HRIS, IT, HR business partners, and leadership to identify opportunities to improve talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness through data analysis.What you will be doingWith a strong understanding of both key business context and BI architecture and design, this role will be critical in bridging the gap between the business user and their data. They will analyze large amounts of HR data to generate insights, optimize processes, and enhance employee experiences. Responsibilities will vary from very technical to very high-level design.Develop and implement advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms to address key HR challenges, such as predicting employee turnover, identifying high-potential employees, and optimizing recruitment sourcing strategiesAnalyze large datasets of employee data from various sources (HRIS, performance management systems, engagement surveys, etc.) to identify and forecast trends, patterns, and insights related to workforce dynamicsDesign and conduct statistical analyses, including regression analysis, time series analysis, and A/B testing, to evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiativesCreate compelling visualizations and reports to communicate complex data insights to HR business partners, leadership, and other stakeholdersCollaborate with HR business partners to understand their needs and translate business questions into actionable data analysesDevelop and maintain data dashboards and modeling tools to provide ongoing monitoring of key HR metricsPartner with IT in the design and maintenance of data warehouseStay up to date on the latest trends and advancements in People Analytics, data science, and machine learningContribute to the development of our People Analytics roadmap and strategyEnsure data quality and integrity by implementing appropriate data governance processesOther duties as assignedWhat you bringMasters degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience5+ years experience in data science, with a focus on statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis5+ years experience working with data warehouse systems and a solid understanding of the data warehouse life cycleStrong understanding of statistical concepts and methods, including regression analysis, time series analysis, and hypothesis testingProficiency in statistical programming languages such as R or PythonExperience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Experience with cloud platforms for data storage and computational needs (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)Experience manipulating, cleaning, and managing large datasets and relational databases (SQL)Experience in extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data for analysisKnowledge of structuring and optimizing databases for efficient data storage and accessExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for using data to drive business decisionsKnowledge of HR principles and practicesAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong interpersonal skills to foster teamworkAttention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesPrior experience with Workday HCM preferredEmployee Benefits & Well-BeingGenworth employees make a difference in peoples lives every day. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 10% of your base compensation. The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
