Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Specialist (Business Continuity) to join our team! The Specialist (Business Continuity) is responsible for assisting the Lead - Business Continuity in developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans for Royal Commission Yanbu. This role ensures that the organization can effectively respond to and recover from disruptions, minimizing impact on operations and services.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist the Lead - Business Continuity and the Director in developing and maintaining comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical functions, processes, and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure continuity plans are integrated and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Interface with other team members and interact with other departments to gather necessary information and support continuity planning.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular training, workshops, and simulation exercises to test the effectiveness of continuity plans and enhance organizational preparedness.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of continuity plans, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Provide expert guidance and support during actual incidents and emergencies, ensuring effective response and recovery efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on continuity planning, risk assessments, and incident response activities to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including emergency services, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the organization's crisis management framework and response capabilities.
  • Ensure all continuity plans are regularly reviewed, updated, and tested to reflect changes in the organizational structure, operations, and external environment.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
  • Professional certification in business continuity (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and business impact analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using business continuity software and tools.
