Requirements

We're the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship , Georgetown's center for teaching innovation, research, and excellence. At CNDLS, we enrich the academic experience by supporting faculty and the broader teaching community at Georgetown through a diverse array of programs & initiatives, services, and comprehensive teaching resources.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting various projects within the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship's Faculty Initiatives area. Working in an integrative capacity under the direction of senior project personnel, the Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing project teams and meetings, coordinating team priorities and resources, project planning and implementation, budget and project tracking, project communications, and documentation. The Project Coordinator also helps to organize major CNDLS events on teaching and learning such as the Teaching, Learning, and Innovation Summer Institute. In addition, the Project Coordinator participates in the collection, organization, and analysis of data to be used in CNDLS assessment and research projects. The Project Coordinator participates actively in communication efforts around the projects they support. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Coordination.
  • Project Communications.
  • Event Coordination.
  • Project Evaluation Support and Reporting.


Work Interactions

The Project Coordinator reports to the Senior Associate Director for Assessment. They take further direction from the senior leaders of the projects to which they are assigned, and work closely with other colleagues in supporting those projects. As a key member on various faculty-facing project teams, the Project Coordinator regularly interfaces with faculty and supports them in their project work. They also coordinate with other departments/entities on campus as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years of experience required (or equivalent combination of education and work experience), preferably in an office environment
  • Highly organized team player with proven time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work across multiple projects and teams with possible competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of constituents
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills
  • Conscientious, collaborative, and positive approach in dynamic and busy work environment
  • Event planning experience
  • Able to work independently and take direction
  • Comfort with ambiguity and adaptability to change
  • Proficiency with Google Apps and Microsoft Office, including Excel or Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications
  • Awareness of and interest in current issues and debates in higher education, with knowledge of the literature on college teaching and learning
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency with other tools and applications (e.g. Canva, Adobe Products, Canvas)

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
