Job Title: IT Help Desk Support
Location : Onsite in Goleta
Pay:
$25-35/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Help Desk Support professional to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for internal users experiencing technical issues. You will provide essential troubleshooting, resolve software and hardware problems, and ensure seamless IT operations. This position requires strong communication skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to and resolve user IT requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Provide support for software installations, configurations, and updates.
Assist with user account setup, password resets, and system access.
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or appropriate departments when necessary.
Maintain documentation for IT procedures, issues, and solutions.
Monitor IT systems and alerts, ensuring prompt attention to potential problems.
Educate users on IT best practices and provide guidance on common technical issues.
Support the IT team in deploying new hardware, software, and system updates.
Required Skills/Experience:
Proven experience in an IT help desk or technical support role.
Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and common enterprise software.
Knowledge of network fundamentals (LAN, WAN, VPN) and basic troubleshooting.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
