As an Advance Piping Design and Layout Engineer here at Honeywell, you will utilize your expertise in plant layout and pipe stress analysis to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to design and optimize piping systems using industry-standard codes and design practices. In this role, you will have a significant impact on Honeywell by designing efficient and reliable piping systems that meet industry standards and customer requirements. This position can be located in either our Tulsa, OK and/ or Houston, TX location.
In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and layout piping systems for various industrial applications
- Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar software
- Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, ASME B 31.1, and other international design codes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize piping designs for cost, efficiency, and safety
- Provide technical support during project construction, commissioning, and startup
- Conduct design reviews and participate in HAZOP studies
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in advance piping design, analysis, and layout.
- Proficiency in pipe stress analysis using Caesar software.
- Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME B 31.1, and other international design codes.
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience with products like boilers, thermal oxidizers, flares, pressure vessel, heat exchangers.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
