Perform skilled maintenance and extensive equipment repair, troubleshoot equipment problems in the field, operate a variety of specialized equipment, set up hardware and consult with client employees on IT requirements and capabilities. Assist with training, prioritize, assign and review work of student employees. Responsibilities Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent and some relevanttechnical training. Preferred Education: Relevant certification. Required Experience: 2-3 years of related experience. Experience providingcustomer support in an information technologyenvironment. Preferred Experience: Experience providing support in a lab or departmentwithin a university setting. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Understanding of computing procedures and standards, as well as desktop and network configurations. Ability to operate a wide variety of technology equipment. Skilled at troubleshooting and performing moderately complex repairs. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of specialized software, systems, or technologies. Qualifications In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $36.900. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
