EDC is seeking a highly skilled Airdrop Technician / Rigger to join our growing team and contribute to the design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of our airdrop technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled Airdrop Technician / Rigger to join our growing team and contribute to the design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of our airdrop technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support flight testing of airdrop systems locally and at customer sites across the U.S.
- Assemble, pack, inspect, and maintain parachutes, parafoils, and other airdrop systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct rigging for ground and aerial testing, including preparation for autonomous and guided systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians during design and development phases.
- Perform hands-on testing and evaluation of airdrop systems.
- Maintain documentation of rigging, inspections, and repairs following industry standards.
- Support prototype development and iterative improvements to airdrop hardware.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience as a rigger, parachute technician, or airdrop specialist (military or civilian).
- Familiarity with packing, repairing, and maintaining parachutes or guided parafoil systems.
- Knowledge of FAA, military, or equivalent parachute rigging standards.
- Strong hands-on skills, including attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to handle the demands of packing, lifting, and field testing.
Preferred:
- FAA Senior or Master Parachute Rigger Certification or equivalent military qualification.
- Experience with autonomous airdrop systems or advanced parachute technology.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or research and development environments.
- Familiarity with CAD software or technical drawings.
