The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is one of only two independent child and adolescent psychiatry departments within an academic medical center in the nation. The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital Center is seeking a part-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Intensive Outpatient Program at Bellevue Hospital. As a clinical provider in the outpatient clinic, you will deliver primary psychiatric and medical care to patients as necessary, including liaison with patient families and institutions and liaison with other medical specialties; adherence to all Federal, State, and City regulations; and provide attending back-up call as scheduled.
Responsibilities include:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, including recommendations for medications, individual, group, and family therapy.
Supervise Child Psychiatry Fellows.
Prescribe and manage patients on psychotropic medications.
Provide multi-modal individual therapy, ranging in frequency from weekly to every four weeks as indicated and lead therapeutic and psycho-educational groups.
Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds, treatment planning, and aftercare referrals.
Provide emergency evaluations and refer for inpatient hospitalization when indicated.

Effort: .70 FTE
Minimum Salary: $240,000 (1.0 FTE)
Maximum Salary: $250,000 (1.0 FTE)
NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The annual salary for a full-time junior faculty role is from $240,000 to $250,000. Candidates who qualify for higher faculty appointments are also encouraged to apply. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including faculty appointment, credentials, research history, specialty, and health system need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
