Corporate Development Manager - Military Veterans

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Corporate Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our corporate development strategies. This individual will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential business opportunities, leading acquisitions and divestiture transactions and fostering partnerships to enhance the overall corporate portfolio. The Corporate Development Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate potential merger, acquisition, divestment, partnership, and joint venture opportunities.
  • Develop and present financial models including historical and projected results along with various valuation methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence of potential transactions and identify key risks.
  • Work closely with senior management and NOV Business Units to develop M&A strategies.
  • Monitor business trends / outlooks and gather competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership.
  • Create presentations and reports which clearly articulate complex financial analysis to various stakeholders including senior management and Board of Directors.
  • Support negotiation of strategic transaction agreements.
  • Foster a broad range of relationships with senior management and executives both within NOV and the broader energy industry.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; Master of Business Administration (MBA) is helpful, but not required.
  • 2-5 years proven experience. Investment banking, investment management, or corporate development experience is ideal.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial markets.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, including financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and experience in financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence decision-making process.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly-organized and ability to multi-task.
