A Day In The Life
As the ETL Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing ETL processes for data extraction and transformation in support of the implementation of automated solutions and system integrations that optimize our business operations. You will be a key player in gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring that the delivered solutions meet their needs. You will be responsible for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring they have confidence in the technology solutions that support their business processes. Your advanced skills in AWS and programming languages, along with your leadership abilities, will be critical in delivering scalable, reliable, and impactful solutions.

 

As a ETL Integrations Engineer you will:

  • Design and develop ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Collaborate with GSFSGroup IT and Corporate IT to align GSFSGroup IT with The Friedkin Group IT vision and strategy.
  • Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot existing ETL workflows to ensure efficient data pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability through regular monitoring and validation processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all ETL processes and related systems.
  • Work with large datasets and databases such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud data stores (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on ETL best practices.

 

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Data/ETL Developer, with a focus on building scalable ETL solutions. Required and
  • Master's Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent technical discipline and 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong background in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code, supporting Machine Learning and Data Science workloads preferred. and
  • Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and data integration platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with various database management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and related ETL/data services. (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). AWS Preferred.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect Preferred
  • AWS Certified Developer Preferred

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

 

Travel Requirements
10% The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business.
