Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary Coordinates, implements and manages projects and events for School of Public Health. Develops and facilitates plans that include logistics, budgeting, space planning, vendor management, program details, communication needs and other details to make projects and events successful. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Project Management Provides administrative/operational oversight of assigned program/project. Develops project/program goals, objectives and plans in collaboration with management. Oversees implementation of project plan, monitor, track and evaluate progress. Assists in development/management of department budget/finances. Event Coordination Manages, coordinates and provides operational functions for both internal and external events, special functions and conferences, etc. Develops budget with event owner and ensures budget is adhered to throughout planning and implementation. Considers appropriate logistics, ensuring space needs, reservations, appropriate permits, consideration of applicable safety precautions, parking, vendor management, food and other details are managed appropriately. Builds relationships with university partners at schools, departments and with staff in executive leadership offices, as well as external vendors and attendees. Provides coordination of teams of employees and student volunteers to effectively support the rollout of events and activities. Facilitates planning meetings with committees and volunteers. Assists in the publication and promotion of events in collaboration with the Communications department. Reviews and analyzes post-event feedback and outcomes to determine successes and future event improvements. Administers software for events. May hire, train, supervise/evaluate student workers. Performs other duties as assigned. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
