Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Senior BIM Engineer (Electrical). The Senior BIM Engineer will be responsible for creating, managing, and overseeing the implementation of 3D models of building and infrastructure projects using BIM technology within the Engineering Projects Section “Design Unit”. This role requires expertise in various software tools and an understanding of construction workflows to ensure the efficient design and execution of projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
•The BIM Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing Electrical design systems using BuildingInformation Modeling (BIM) software, collaborating with other design Engineers and departments, and ensuring thatdesigns meet project requirements, codes, and standards. You will produce Electrical calculations, drawings andtechnical reports for both building and infrastructure projects.
BIM Model Creation and Management:
•Develop safe and efficient Electrical solutions for projects within Yanbu Industrial City and undertake the requiredcalculations, reports and design reviews
•Working closely with and taking ownership of detailed 3D BIM models produced by the CAD and Revit Techniciansfor construction projects, concentrating on Electrical design but being familiar with, and interface with, architectural,Civil, Mechanical and Structural Engineers.
•Ensure BIM models are accurately integrated with all project disciplines.
•Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
•Ensuring the implementation of client procedures and standards especially for CAD/REVIT/BIM.
Collaboration and Coordination:
•Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to develop accurate models that reflect design intent and constraints.
•Participate in coordination meetings to ensure alignment of model elements and project details.
BIM Design and Modeling:
•Create and manage detailed Electrical designs using BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc).
•Coordinate Electrical designs with other disciplines (Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Architectural) to ensure integration of all systems.
•Prepare Electrical drawings in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
Electrical Design and Analysis:
•Design, size, and layout electrical elements, ensuring compliance with local codes, standards, and project requirements. Projects include residential, commercial and Industrial buildings and infrastructure, therefore thorough understanding of Lighting, Power Distribution, Fire Alarm Systems, Low Voltage systems etc is a key requirement.
•Preparing detailed designs and/or construction details for projects, buildings, elements or components, including associated specifications, schedules, calculations etc; generally using BIM models where practical.
•Verify design calculations and review detailed drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
• Electrical Engineering Degree from a reputable University.
• Minimum of 8 years of comprehensive Construction industry experience in Electrical Engineering, associated technologies and facilities.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical systems, including DIALux, RELUX and ETAP
• Extensive experience of working with CAD / Production team in the use of BIM within the Construction industry.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, problem-solving, and detail-oriented approach.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams using BIM software.

• Registration with Professional body will be beneficial
• BIM-specific certifications (e.g., Autodesk Revit, BIM Manager) are a plus.
• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance in all aspects of design work.
• Ability to innovate and bring creative solutions to challenging design problems.
• Experience with project management and leadership in a design setting.
