Job Summary and Qualifications
Intern Engineer candidates will be focused on gaining experiences within HCA Healthcare’s Care Management product suite including its functionality and utilization, collaborating with project teams and business partners to meet ITG project objectives.
The intern candidate will be engaged in design, building, implementation and support of ITG Care Management enterprise applications. This position will collaborate with other engineers and developers to ensure quality applications are delivered on time following business owner specifications and HCA Healthcare ITG development standards.
This position will require a candidate who is willing to learn how to analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test and implement solutions while being supervised. The candidate will need to be able to work across a mixed team environment and learn from other colleague strengths and talents. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter, an enthusiastic learner committed to delivering high quality solutions within scheduled timelines.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
Collaborates with team members to successfully execute development initiatives
Capable of using Agile practices and principles
Participates in large-scale development projects involving multiple areas outside of core team
Develops and identifies potential operational changes to streamline operations and enhance service delivery
Collaborates with business analysts, project lead, management and customers on requirements
Designs fit-for-purpose products
Understands the software development life cycle
Ability to multitask, given various task assignments, assisting management in prioritization of tasks
Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals
Creation of prototypes and proof of concepts for development considerations
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

What qualifications you will need:EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred
EXPERIENCE
0 to 2 years - Experience on increasingly challenging projects in business/school with a proven delivery track record
Ability to build trust and act with authenticity to cultivate a culture of integrity, inclusion, and mutual respect
