Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Director of Finance for the Global Capability Network (GCN), you will be responsible for managing the financial operations. This role will involve financial planning, reporting and management of the profit and loss (P&L), tracking against the business case, budgeting, and ensuring local regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for supporting the Global Capability Network Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in strategic financial management and decision-making to ensure enterprise targets for the GCN are met.

Key Competencies

P&L / Business Case Management

  • Establish and enforce best practices to ensure robust financial management, efficient project coordination, and effective cross-team collaboration
  • Contribute to the financial strategy for the Global Capability Network
  • Support the annual budgeting process, working closely with the GCN CFO to document budget assumptions and reach out to necessary stakeholders for input
  • Monitor budget performance, tracking savings realization, contact relevant stakeholders, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet financial targets
  • Manage all aspects of cash management, investments, budgeting, and financial reporting working closely with HCA Healthcare corporate treasury and U.S. and India tax teams
  • Ensure the precise and prompt preparation, analysis, and reporting of Profit & Loss statements as apart of ongoing business operations

Financial Analysis

  • Manage the financial modeling for proposed changes to the business case to forecast the financial impacts of strategic changes and propose financially viable alternatives as a part of the cost/benefit analysis
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the GCN’s financial landscape to inform financial modeling and to provide financial insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency
  • Coordinate monthly financial reporting, managing closing of books each month with internal and external groups
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function

Accounts Payable Management

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable process ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments in conjunction with other HCA Healthcare team’s
  • Develop and manage accounts payable policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control
  • Work closely with local finance and tax leaders, demonstrating an understanding of international accounting concepts to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee the management of regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions that comply with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Experience in conducting finance work for a large global organization
  • Experience conveying complex financial information clearly and succinctly to all levels of the organization, including board members, senior-level executives, vendors and external stakeholders
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels in a hybrid, multicultural environment
  • Has a flexible attitude, with an ability to adapt to the role as business needs shift
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s or CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of financial/accounting experience required; 3+ years of leadership experience within the healthcare industry preferred
  • Experience in working within a Global Capability Center or a HealthCare system is strongly preferred
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Experience working across geographic regions preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time, including international travel
