Salary: The previously determined salary range for this position was $80,000 to $115,000. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.

Position Summary
The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism is seeking to hire 2 Assistant Professor (RT) faculty on the tenure track. The faculty will have demonstrated research experience and publications in Metabolism and Metabolic Disease.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieve independent funding through R01 grants or other related mechanisms.
  • Develop and lead an independent research program focused on metabolism and metabolic diseases.
  • Commitment to advancing science and educating the next generation of scientists


  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Must have a PhD in a relevant field, specifically metabolic diseases.
    • Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
    • Experience with obtaining career development grant funding.
    • Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
