Field Service Technician – Subsea - Military Veterans

EAD is looking for a Field Service Technician to assemble, test, and troubleshoot subsea electrical components. These products include in house connectors and sensors, as well as third party components!
The technician who takes this position will support onsite installation, commissioning, and refurbishment activities. As part of global entity, you will work closely with product line managers and engineering support from locations around the world to deliver the highest quality service from our Houston facility. The technician will review drawings and quality programs and then apply various testing methods to implement the project requirements both on land and offshore.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Interact directly to customers to answer questions and resolve issues
- Perform Root Cause Analysis on system failures and liaise with engineering teams on design changes and troubleshoot projects
- Assist with shop production and refurbishment activities when not in the field
- Mechanical assembly of subsea hose assemblies and distribution units. Leak testing, oil filling, and electrical testing of assemblies.
- Operating hyperbaric chamber to FAT completed projects.
- Maintain high regard for safety and quality while performing tasks. Keep and maintain credentials such as TWIC, Port Badges, BOSIET, Passport
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience related to oil and gas environment and flexibility for varying work hours and demand to meet urgent delivery dates. Ability to work in remote locations independently
- Strong organization, excellent time management skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in planning workload and specific tasks and be able to achieve completion dates. Strong computer background - both efficiency and industrial software
- Experience with electrical test equipment and software. Understanding of subsea hydraulic and communication systems
- 50/50 travel requirements with some international requirements for training and customer project execution
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
