The Role:
Our site in Reno is seeking a/an Operations Supervisor to join our team. At the Reno Entegris site you will be a part of the operations activities in the Probe Card Cleaning (PCC) area, including all activities related to the assembly, inspection, packaging, and certification processes. This person will be responsible for ensuring safety and operations policies are followed while facilitating daily communications with other operational departments.
What You'll Do:
- Handles PCC staff: interviews, hires, evaluates, and develops direct reports; oversees disciplinary actions; conducts PCC personnel performance evaluations
- Participates as a key member of the plant safety committee; plays a leadership role in safety process at site, drives safety culture within the PCC team
- Supervises employees' training needs, ensures operators follow procedures and safety rules, verifies operations training meets company and location needs and standards
- Handles PCC activities in concert with the planning, scheduling, shipping, and supply chain organizations to meet customers' quality and on time shipping requirements
- Communicates with product management to ensure production schedules and strategies adequately cover customer needs
- Drives continuous improvement throughout production processes
- Owns implementation of 6-S processes and concepts in areas of responsibility, oversees customer complaints regarding packaging operations; ensures mutually agreeable resolution
- Collaborates with engineering on the design and implementation scope for automation, new equipment, equipment replacement, and other related department projects
- Works with engineering/maintenance on implementation timelines to best coincide with production activities
- Acts as a training coordinator for new project installations and changes to plant safety, quality, and other programs
- Reports incidents using quality software programs; investigates and implements corrective actions
- Proposes and implements revisions to procedures as well as writes new procedures as vital, develops new workflow processes, selects and audits work instructions for completeness
- Works closely with the Operations Director to meet budget and revenue targets
- Identifies and works to eliminate material and work order variances created in the department
- Supervises general housekeeping of PCC areas
- Assists the Operations Director to determine present and future needs for programs, personnel, equipment, and facility
- Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position, participates in appropriate safety training, demonstrates dedication to and support of EH&S principles and values, champions safety
- May at any time need to perform duties associated with the various positions in the PCC organization that report to them
- Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally encouraged scope of this position.
What We Seek:
- A minimum of 6 years of applicable industry experience with 3 years in a leadership position
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities through team leadership and/or project management
- Knowledge of continual improvement in plant processes
- Experience dealing with customer facing teams; dedicated to customer service, including diplomatic communication skills, comprehensive problem solving.
- High School Diploma
- 2 or more years of direct department leadership
- 4-year BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or other related technical degree PREFERRED (or combination of equivalent experience & documented development training program)

• Compensation: $80,000-$85,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
