You will be the Quality Engineer Senior for the IRST program team. Our team is responsible for providing onsite quality engineering support in the IRST depot at MFC-Orlando, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to customers.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to ensure the quality of products within the IRST portfolio. You will work closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support depot operations, develop quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Reviewing engineering requirements and documentation to ensure conforming quality products
Providing Quality Engineering coverage for depot operations, including supporting IPTs and identifying opportunities for improvement
Identifying, controlling, and dispositioning non-conforming hardware
Leading program corrective action meetings to identify trends, resolve problems, and ensure commitments are met
Conducting audits and assessments to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and ISO-9001/AS9100 standards
Evaluating production process methodologies to ensure product conformance and prevent impacts to production velocity
Interacting with internal and external customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
Considered career, or journey, level
Must be able to acquire and maintain a US security clearance.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication/presentation skills. (verbal and written)
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to address quality issues
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM discipline preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Specialist, Engineering in Manufacturing, Defense industries.
Expertise in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques used in a manufacturing/production floor environment and/or in a repair depot operation.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools. AMS, SAP, JIRA, Apriso, Confluence.
Experience with regulatory compliance and certification ISO AS9100.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, statistical process control, and quality metrics.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
