BIM/Revit Technician - Hybrid - Glasgow Or Edinburgh - Military Veterans

Our Defence and Security maritime provide design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad. Our team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice, and we are looking for a BIM/Revit Technician with transferable Civil/Structural skills who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges. We offer hybrid working with the odd day in the office. Either Glasgow Or Edinburgh based.

About the Opportunity:

We are looking to recruit and develop career minded people to bolster our well-established and growing multi-discipline engineering delivery capability to meet opportunities in the nuclear and defence industries. Our projects include developing solutions through all stages in highly regulated environments, in support of air, land and sea defence establishments, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and both existing and new build nuclear bases.

You will preferably have experience of working in the maritime, nuclear and/or defence industries, but also those with relevant industrial design experience looking to work in a technically challenging environment.

• Fluent in Revit, Auto-Cad and Navis Works.
• Ability to produce 3D CAD information in a BIM environment.
• Production of 2D drawings (layouts, arrangements, sections, elevations etc.) from the 3D model.
• Capability across Civil/Structural disciplines including reinforced concrete and steelwork,
• Familiar with BIM, use of Common Data Environment (CDE) and QA systems.

Here's what you need

• Possess a knowledge of the Civil/Structural engineering discipline.
• Experienced in engineering in a defence or nuclear related industry preferred but not essential, happy to consider other industries
• Experience in aspects of reinforce concrete and steelwork
• Familiar with working in a secure environment
• Relevant qualification minimum, HND or equivalent.
• All staff are required to be a UK National and able and willing to obtain SC level security clearance, and therefore must have been resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
