Internal Job Number: P08805UF Description: The OSU Department of Athletics is seeking a Special Assistant to the Head Coach. This will be a full-time (1.00 FTE ),12-month, professional faculty position. The Special Assistant to the Head Coach plays a crucial role in supporting the Head Coach with the operations, leadership, and coaching of the Oregon State University Football program. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including administrative support, leadership support, identification and execution of special projects, statistical analysis, and preparation for games and practices, while also ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and regulations and University policies. Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty): Typically Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Requirements : Bachelor's degree Strong proficiency in football-related technology. 2 years of experience as part of a football organization. Excellent interpersonal skills to enhance communication and overall interactions with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community. Ability to provide critical thinking and consultation to achieve positive outcomes. Exceptional character traits in integrity and fairness. Exemplify the core values and standards of Oregon State Athletics. Demonstrated history of acting ethically and complying with all laws, policies, rules and regulations. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a manner that shows respect and inclusivity for student athletes, student workers and colleagues. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months. Type: Will work nights, weekends and holidays. Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with skills, education and experience.
