Primary Responsibilities: · Participate in teaching and service activities as appropriate. · Maintain a full-time teaching load. · Collaborate with faculty in curriculum development, innovative teaching strategies, and delivery of courses for degree program. · Advise and mentor students, which may include supervising student research and independent study work. · Work with faculty to develop and guide capstone experiences and clinical/internship opportunities for Health Sciences Program. · Pursue scholarship opportunities within area of expertise at a level consistent with University expectations as it relates to non-tenure track appointments. · Be actively engaged in the health/exercise science profession and/or related disciplines; pursue appropriate leadership opportunities. · Maintain both national and state credentials through the pursuit of appropriate continuing education and self-advancement. · Practice and promote pedagogical strategies to increase diversity and inclusion at the individual, course, department, and school level. · Be a good citizen of the University and promote the mission of the University. · Earned master?s degree in Biomechanics, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, or related field. · Minimum of 2-3 years of college/university level teaching experience in the areas of exercise physiology, nutrition, sports medicine, and/or biomechanics. Preferred: · Earned doctoral degree (academic or clinical) in Health Sciences or a related field. · Experienced educator with a well-rounded skill set that can be applied to a wide range of health/exercise science content areas. · 2 ? 3 years of work experience with health sciences or a related discipline.
