Responsibilities

1. Identify and develop creative strategies to attract, manage and retain potential blood drive Sponsors and feeder groups for existing blood drives.

2. Implement new methods for efficient scheduling of blood drives by assigned Sponsors.   

3. Assist management with developing and mentoring staff, assessing progress of team members, running monthly team and booking meetings, and sharing in-depth knowledge.

4. Serve as a creative and operational resource to assigned junior staff to ensure consistent and effective implementation of recruitment plan.

5. Assist management in developing overall annual and long-term recruitment plans with attendant strategies and methods for implementation.

6. Ensure tools, technology and strategy provided by the organization to enhance customer service, efficiency and productivity are fit for purpose and identify opportunities for improvement.

7. Serve as point of contact and secondary approver when manager is absent.

Scope

Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge; knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Works independently; may instruct or coach other professionals.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communication or related field required.

Experience: Minimum of five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience: N/A

Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Excellent oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required. Responsible for providing own transportation for business purposes. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: Some travel may be required.

*Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements

The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position.  Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions.  Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. May be required to travel to sites throughout the region to meet with potential donor groups. Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods of time.
