This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation?s foremost academic health science centers working together with one of the nation?s premier health systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As part of a new research initiative in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care and Hospital Medicine, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the Columbia University, NY Children?s Redox Health Center invites applicants for an open tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor full-time faculty positionto establish a research program focused on mass spectrometry (MS)-based spatial and single cell redox biology. Candidates with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree with a strong background in cellular/molecular biology, MS and redox biology are invited to apply. Established extramural funding is desired. The candidate is expected to have strong hands-on experience with cutting-edge spatial biology instrumentation and technologies, particularly in special techniques such as label-free and multi-omics MS-microscopy, single cell proteomics/lipidomics/metabolomics, correlated 3D microscopy, expansion microscopy and its combination with optical super-resolution microscopy. The candidate is experienced in new method development, and imaging data processing and analysis are particularly encouraged to apply. The candidate will have access to departmental and institutional state-of-the-art cores and equipment.
