Sr Coordinator - Military Veterans

The Senior Coordinator position ensures effective and efficient organization, coordination, technical and database support for the Event Planning department.

*This position must reside in MN

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce complex Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations for use by department leaders and teams evaluating content for accuracy and suggesting/recommending ways to represent data and other information effectively.
  • Oversees department processes/procedures with a strong focus on improvement. Creates and maintains departmental documentation to ensure that its up-to-date and useful including the business continuity plan.
  • Oversees departments digital file management in Content Server, Teams and SharePoint. Audits compliance to file naming convention and annual archival/retention practices.
  • Work with outside vendors to get samples for event items, negotiate pricing, place orders and coordinate assembly and distributing where applicable on procuring
  • Plan and organize logistics, details and schedules which include a high volume of calendar coordination for the event planning department including staff meetings, and 1x1s.
  • Prepare communications and correspondence with event planning team, corporate and field audiences, etc.
  • Process expense reports for event planning teams travel. Review monthly department expense transactions/budget, monitor materials/resources working closely with leaders to follow-up on irregularities and communicate with staff
  • Schedule assessments for example: department 1x1s
  • Other miscellaneous duties that support the Event Planning department per the EP leaderships direction including but not limited to: creating new requisitions in Workday or other Thrivent software, coordinate mailings and shipments of materials needed, maintain inventory, schedule Cristo Rey high school students and interns for support work as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • College degree or an equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting high volume coordination and complex multi-tasking activities.
  • Experience with heavily detailed coordination of events or meeting planning.
  • Strong technical aptitude with MS Office including Teams and Outlook, with a focus on advanced Excel skills. Cvent experience a plus.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive materials at all times.
  • High level of organization and hyper attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, great at proofreading spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Expert prioritization in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $24.77 - $33.52 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
