Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. Such opportunities may or may not be available at any given time, and this application process is used to generate a pool of potential applicants for use when a position becomes available. We do hire part-time faculty regularly, and applicants with expertise that matches our needs will be contacted for an interview. Applicants should be at the ABD stage of their doctoral program or hold a PhD in Anthropology (preferred), and have a demonstrated record of effective teaching at the university level. We are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable teaching anthropology in general education programs to non-major audiences as well as engaging a diverse student population. Upon hiring we will work with selected individuals to determine a mutually agreeable schedule on a quarter by quarter basis. Required Qualifications: More than one year teaching experience at the collegiate level. Have an ABD or a PhD in Anthropology with PhD preferred.
